Wii Sports Resort

Having used Wii Sports Resort for quite a while now, I can confidently say that it is the most FUN video game I have played. There is so much more to video gaming than sitting with hunched shoulders over a small screen playing COD and the like, and Nintendo has realised this. Sports Resort uses the full potential of the Wiimote and Nunchuk to deliver a high quality gaming experience, that is actually attractive to those who have never picked up a gaming controller before. Below are some of my favourite games:

Archery - I love this. The Wiimote and Nunchuk are used in such an innovative manner that I often forget they are pieces of wifi emitting plastic and metal. My only complaint would be that the bow can lean in some very odd directions sometimes!

Cycling - This results in severe Wiitis (look it up) after a couple of hours of play. It is highly addictive, even if you don' quite realise how you are supposed to pedal (like me)

Surfing - Highly addictive this is based on the simple theme of jumping and landing straight on the base of the board. In just over a minute youwill have clocked up hundreds of points!

There are many more sports I could mentions, but if you have a large family, and 179.99 doesn't sound too expensive, I would highly recommend investing in a Wii!

Solving the FSX Startup Problem and SP2 English Notification

I have been plagued by the Acceleration pack that is still lingering in a corner of my room, yet I am considering another attempt at installation. 2 problems which I had have been solved, and here they are:

1.) I had the FSX SDK SP1A installed - that was why FSX refused to start up properly. Removing the (frankly unused) SDK stopped that problem

2.) I had no registry key for FSX, so I couldn't install Acceleration. I came to realise this when I tried TweakFS's tool for fixing the FSX registry setup path key. This allowed SP1 to be installed successfully. Flight1's tool was a bit useless however, so I only leave TweakFS's link below. This tool also solves the 'SP2 required the English version of FSX' notification.

Thanks for all those who gave helpful suggestions, but only McMildChild from YouTube solved the 1st problem (I took the second into my own hands). I would be grateful if you subscribed to him, as he is a smashing chap.

FreebieJeebies Sign Up

I have researched this site more than any other site on the internet, I expect, and after seeing countless good reviews, tv programmes and marketing plans, I believe FreebieJeeebies is a geniune site.

FreebieJeebies and LOVEFiLM are in a partnership to get LOVEFiLM more users.

You then complete a free trial of LOVEFiLM, who then pays FreebieJeebies.

FreebieJeebies takes a cut of that, then donates the rest towards your gift.

That money alone is not enough to pay for the gift, so you must REFER others through your special link, for your friends to sign up at.

Once you have reached the required amount of referrals FreebieJeebies will ask for postal details and the gift will come through the post straight from the Apple Store.

If anyone needs help of any kind to do with this, comment below :)

Flight Simulator X and the Saga of Acceleration

I feel like hitting something! After a week of trying to install Acceleration over Flight Simulator X Deluxe, FSX has become corrupted and won't start! This means I will have to uninstall the lot, and start from scratch, while making sure it really is from scratch, as remnants of the installation will no doubt linger in the Windows Registry and various other nooks and cranys of Windows. I'm not all that confident about this, so I checked the Microsoft Support website, which cheerfully informed that I would have to pay £46.00 for support. I cancelled. I payed £22.99 for FSX at amazon.co.uk, and I don't see why I should pay double to make up for the incompetence on the part of Microsoft. They made a brilliant product when it runs properly, but when it fails, it creates a tormenting nightmare for all simmers.

Help.

The Woes of Flight Simulator X Acceleration

I've had Acceleration for 3 days now, and it has managed to cause my annoyance like no other game. Every time I have wanted to install it with my genuine, licensed copy of Flight Simulator X deluxe, it has come up with 'Microsoft Flight Simulator X must be installed to install Acceleration.'

Which is obviously quite annoying.

After uninstalling Service packs 1 and 2 for FSX I realised there a probably some registry keys from the Flight Simulator Demo. I do not know exactly how the registry works, only that it is very complicated and can act as a single point of failure. So I am not too enthusiastic. Nevertheless, I shall persevere.

Blender Glass

Here is a glass cup I made earlier, it took all of 26 minutes to render!

Project Airbus Nears Completion of A380

The freeware developer group of Project Airbus are rumoured to be nearing the completion of their long awaited A380 pack. The release is expected to contain the model, paints, sounds and realistic flight dynamics.
Airbus A380

Having overtaken the Boeing 747 as the largest passenger aircraft, the A380 has been very popular with a number of airlines such as British Airways, who are looking to cut fuel costs by flying larger, less frequent flights. Along with the orders for the A380, many of the Boeing 787 'Dreamliners' were bought.

UK Weather Jeopardises Airports

UK airports have been devastated by a series of heavy snowfalls across most of northern England. Liverpool airport was closed today, and Manchester (EGCC) was closed until midday, when a review of the situation was undertaken. Hundreds of schools have been shut, and thousands of snowmen have sprang up! All airports are advising travellers to check with their airline before going to the airport, as the backlog of flights is still large. For up-to-date news, we suggest checking these sites

Please note that the snow is forecast to reach the south of England tomorrow, where sixTEEN inches of snow are expected to fall. We wish all passengers good luck, and a safe journey!

SOLVED!
After researching thoroughly, it turns out that Tesco Mobile runs entirely on O2's infrastructure, and therefore, to a certain extent, you can sign up to most services which allow O2 customers. All Tesco Mobile users have to do is select O2 from the menu. Hope some problems are solved here for users!
